Operation Buffalo Aftermath - 14th August, 1952
Following a raid on enemy positions, Samich'on Valley, Korea
This photo shows Dick Garrett of 6 Platoon after the Hill 75 raid. Numbly holding a cup of tea, Dick was hurt much worse than he shows in this picture. He was burned by phosphorous in the scalp and both legs, and badly stunned. Eddie Wright had put out the burning phosphor, and brought Dick back through the paddies until met by stretchers. |
